Italy's high speed train Freccia Rossa
Milan - Rome in 3.5 hours with new Italian high speed train

The Italian high speed line which
was inaugurated last December, connects
the major Italian cities and runs from Turin (Piedmont) to
Salerno (Campania) via Milan, Bologna,
Florence,
Rome and
Naples.
The new high speed train, the
Frecciarossa (Red Arrow), reaches a speed of 300 kilometers per
hour. The train ride from Milan to Rome is thus only 3.5 hours. Next
year this will further reduced to only 3 hours.
A ticket Milan-Rome costs about €
